Dryads are the spirits of trees, most often oak trees, & are found in Greek mythology. Dryads, always female, keep watch over their own tree, as well as the forest. Dryad's live for a long time, but they will die if their tree is cut down. For this reason, the Greek god would often punish people who damaged the trees.
I dont often draw. ^ ^ I draw for enjoyment and i hope you like it . :3
P.S. I'm also just 12 , so i can tell im not such an artist, i tried my best though.

- O: i once read a story abut a dryad. in the story a lady was told about dryads, and she told them that she didnt beleive in them, so she was going to plunge a spindle into the biggest oak in a near-by forest. Her friends told her not too, but she did anyway, and the night she went in the forest, she went missing. When her friends went to go look for her, she was found dead, under a fallen tree, the spindle thrust through her own heart. anyway really aweeome ^^ 4/5
