In a dark room devoid of any light sits the man with no ears in his rocking chair. He smiles a crooked gummy smile showing his teeth severely in need of dental work. He glares a wide eyed, a glowing stare with his gray eyes as his yellow fingernails enfold around his little metal locket.
I remember the day I met the man with no ears, along with my love of once. It was a cold dreary night with the sky's howling a foreboding wail. When we entered his room he seemed to have been waiting for us to come, inviting us to sample some of his tea and cakes. We spoke to him, falling on what could essentially be called "deaf ears", but even so, he leaned forward, smiling intently. We laughed and had a merry time with the man with no ears, and in reality, I was sure he was to, a smile never left my face, nor did his.
My love was different though, not so much a happy party goer, but the proverbial elephant in the room.
All night, she stared at our companion, noticing how he nothing but blank patches of fetid flesh where he should have developed ears. she Studied him intently, with a look you would give to a pile of trash rather then a fellow human being. To her, he was nothing but a monster.
More and more she scoffed and studied him, her thoughts rolling between how to dispose of him and when to run.
She glared at him and spoke one simple word, her last word.
"Monster."
As she stood to leave, the man laughing stopped, his gaze meeting her. He rose automatically, laughing all the way. My love stood frozen in place as i applauded the man, for reasons I still do not know
With masterful precision, he pinned her to the cold floor and cut her throat with his long yellow nails. As she screamed a gurgling , blood curdling scream, I found the smile couldn't leave my face, as much as I tried, my brain wouldn't let me stop. He took careful notice of her, sizing her up and down. He fell on one knee and slowly sliced sliced off her ears with his yellow finger and kicked her limp cold body across the room, I should note that as he did this, I began to chuckle a bit, much to my displeasure. He pushed past me and stood in front of the lone mirror in his room and put my loves ears to the place where his should have been. He groaned a displeased moan and pointed to the door. I left as I caught a glimpse of him shoving My loves ears into his mouth, devouring them like an animal would raw meat. I left the mans home and never returned, no amount of guilt or sorrow ever graced me about my lost love.
Just a tinge of a smile whenever i thought of that day.
I learned a very important lesson about the man with no ears that day, and perhaps survival in general.
If you wanna live to see the sun,
Never let the smile leave your face.

- That's a very imaginative horror there. Only punctuation and a few typos, but that's very good and I'm no one to go off correcting you. You're quite decriptive but I think you need to create more of an ambience... Overall, it's excellent.

- This is really good, and I don't usually say that about writings because I'm a tough judge. Keep up the good work.
