A voice called him from far away. He heard Victoria pronounce his name... He opened his eyes slowly...
This was not his bed. He was laying on cold brick floor, and his head was trying to explode. The air was also cold and he felt the old and familiar smell of a crypt.
"Good morning, sunshine." said a voice somewhere beyond the limit of his vision. He turned his head, sitting up. There was a woman. She sat near the wall and read an ancient book. There was the air of wickedness about her... "Who are you?" He asked, trying to figure out where he was... this place was oddly familiar... The woman looked up from the book and smiled. As she moved, he noticed the traces of her movements in the air... He could see that she was not old nor unpleasant looking. She was the kind of woman he called pretty, but not beautiful. Her features were too sharp, as if aiming for perfection of looks although forgetting about the inner beauty. "You will get to know me very soon, my dear." She pronounced his mortal name, as if testing something. It was an eternity since he heard it. A sudden realization opened his eyes wider. This was the crypt where he was buried!
The woman smiled wickedly. "I see you remember this place.." She gently put the book down and stood up, pacing about the crypt slowly. "This was where I found your flesh, my lovely prisoner." He knew now he was inside a hexagram. Its walls were invisible for the exact purpose of him trying to breach them. She came closer, and waved a cautious finger at him. "You are too smart for your own good. Aren't you going to try to strangle me?" He stood up. "I do not kill women and children, if thats what you want." She laughed. "Dear me, I know who you are, my gentle angel." He looked into her eyes. "Read a book about me, no doubt." She turned away. "I looked through your eroded brain. And I must say, I am delighted to finally meat you, oh awesome higher being." She looked at him again. "But where are my manners? I am Victoria." She stretched her hand as if waiting for a kiss, still outside the cage. He drew back mentally. "You are a wicked woman." She laughed again. "What, did I surprise you? Or do you hate the name so much?" He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "What is the meaning of this?" She drew the hand away again and walked toward the book. "You are no fun. At least admit that that is the name of your love."

Description:
A dim memory:
V.H. "Please my love tell me what this curse is." I said with a worried expression on my face, "Then I will join the others if you follow."
He sighed. "I fear I will drop into a deep slumber any moment, and I don't want to do so in front of everybody. First of all its rude, and second of all, slightly uncomfortable." He smiled. - Date: 10/31/2008

- This was wonderfully executed, a sense of forboding and mystery is constant through out the entire story. The twist at the end was unexpected and exciting, keep up the good work.

- "Also, I am loosing my feathers to this curse, and my mind is slightly clouded with darkness. I feel a little cold and weak, I can't see far, and the last time I tried to fly or do 'magic' I had to climb up from a canyon and wait out the pain, accordingly. Now, did you really want to hear all of that?.."
