• After about ten aggravating minutes, Apollo had finally coaxed Hera out of the bush. Silently, Hera followed him as he took her to a patch of grass beneath a tree nearby the grazing sheep. They sat down, Apollo slightly nervous in the presence of the pretty girl, and Hera bewildered as to why this boy requested to speak with her. He seemed nice enough, but she had never met anyone of the same age as her. She didn't know what to say.
Seeing that Hera would not be the one to speak first, Apollo started off. "Do you live in the castle on Mt. Olympus? I don't think I've seen you around here."
She nodded. But she didn't speak.
"Is this really the first time you've ever been outside?" he asked.
    Again, she merely nodded.
"Did you have to sneak out to come outside?" the boy questioned, becoming irritated with her silence.
    She nodded.
Thus went the next few hours. He'd ask a question. Hera would nod or shake or head, or shrug her small shoulders. Each time, Apollo became more and more annoyed with her. Yet he couldn't help but desire to know more about her.
Finally, he angrily exclaimed, "SAY SOMETHING! ANYTHING!"
Hera looked up with her large, innocent blue eyes and said "Hi."
He smacked his hand to his head. "I mean say something with maybe twenty words or more."
Hera thought about this and eventually replied, "Your feet stink." She then went rambling on and on about the subject until Apollo said, "Alright, alright, I get it!"
She stopped and laughed a little. Apollo groaned. While he was glad that he had finally gotten her to smile and say something, he disliked that it had been at his exspense.
"Anything else you have to say?" he asked sarcastically.
"You have a large rump." she said.
He looked behind him and replied, "What? What makes you think that?"
She smirked and said, "Gotcha!" She burst out with laughter.
Apollo raised a golden eyebrow. "You mean to tell me that you were lying this whole time?"
    The girl nodded,"Yep!"
Much to Hera's surprise, he smiled. "Oh, you're good! You're gonna have to teach me how to trick someone like that sometime!"
The goddess looked up. A shy smile slowly crossed her pretty face, nearly making Apollo blush.
"Does that mean we're friends?" she asked sheepishly.
He sat in front of her and said, "Yes. That means we're friends."
