I woke up in a cold sweat. My heart was drumming inside of my chest.
"It's just I nightmare," I kept repeating to myself. I couldn't get it out of my thick skull though.
I winced as flashbacks made me see those pierecing, icy blue eyes inside of the gloomy forest.
Then, suddenly it lunged forward, it's teeth glittering and it's eyes burning with rage. I tried dodging it, but by the time it coiled around me like a boa, I woke up.
I shook my head a couple of times and closed my eyes.
"Just a dream...Just a bad, horrible nightmare," I reassured myself. "Nothing bad is going to happen. Just a nightmare..."
I took in a couple of deep breathes before swining my legs over my bed, and walking straight towards my door. I just needed a little wake up call, that's all.
I dashed towards the restroom and leaned againest the peach wall. I slumped down with my knees jamming into my stomach. I cupped my hands over my face and kept taking deep breathes.
The nightmare frightened me more than anything. I couldn't help but think that this nightmare could've had a meaning to it.
I slowly crossed the bathroom floor and turned on the sink. I splashed icy cold water onto my face. That was the wake-up call I needed. I sighedf heavily and washed my face.
I peeked a glance towards the window to only find out the sky was a pale blue. Faint, but enough to see. I shook my head a couple of times before going back to my room.
When I woke up again, the sky was bright and sunny. I yawned and stretched my arms.
When I glanced in the mirror, I had to take a few steps back to take a full look at myself.
My bronze hair looked like a chicken nest and my light brown eyes were troubled. I frowned slightly and tried to fix the "nest".
It wasn't all that bad when I tried it different ways to tried to hide the huge knot in the back of my head. I scowled at the knot when I tried to brush it out, but unsucessfully it got even bigger.
I muttered a cuss word under my breath and just stuck it into a ponytail. I decided on a violet turtle neck sweater and some tight jeans. I managed a smile as I walked past the mirror.
I climbed down the stairs to find a note stuck on the fridge.
"Gone shopping. I wanted to wake you up, but you were snoring like you never get shut eye. I'll be back soon.
Love always,
Mom"
I moaned and crumpled it up. I threw it straight into the trashcan as i walked past.
"Now it means I have to cook," I muttered grimly. My nightmare came back instantly and I fell down onto the tile and felt my head hit the stove. I looked up and the ceiling was going around in circles.
I felt a little trickle of blood come out and I went into deep, dark water...
