"Sing little birds, on a branch, in the willow tree," sang the young girl. She kicked her feet in the cooling stream, sending droplets of water splashing every where. She smiled at her reflection. The light from the water glinting off her star shaped necklace.
"Anna, come inside to eat dear!" called a voice. The young girl sighed and stood up. She looked back at the statue of the wolf and smiled. As she turned to leave, a pair of golden eyes starred at her from the hedges. She gasped softly as it gazed at her. It's fur was gleaming a silver sheam and it's eyes seemed...inviting instead of hungry. As she reached her hand out, it leaped in the other direction. But turned back ever so slightly before it leaped away from her sight.
"Goodbye," she said softly as her mother called once again for her. She turned around but glanced over her shoulder, as if she'd never see the creature again.
Dinner was quiet, as usual. The girl sat the near the window and stared up at the starry sky. Her gray haired mother and balding father glanced at each other. "So, how was your day my dear?" her mother asked, trying to break the silence. The girl gave a sidewards glance at her mother and shrugged.
"It was alright I guess," she said. She thought about the wolf. How his coat shinned and how his eyes beamed. "I met someone today," she mentioned softly. Her father looked up from his meal.
"Who?" her mother asked simply. The girl shrugged and smiled brightly. She looked at her plate and excused herself. She wandered outside into the garden and sat beside her favorite tree. She gazed at the moon and stars and howled like a wolf into the night. A different, deeper howl came back. She looked around to see if the wolf with silver hair was near. And there he was. Standing a few feet in front of her. She smiled at him and held out her hand. The wolf came closer and gave her a look that said he was smiling. "Hello there. My name is Anna, what's yours?" she asked kindly.
The gazed at her a moment then a deep growl came from it's throat. "What's wrong?" she asked. In a flash it leaped up and attacked. Anna screamed and shut her expecting the wolf to devour her.

BOOM
Anna slowly opened her eyes to find a horrible sight....
