• Can life after death actually be called life? Or are you still dead…even though you live in a way? You still eat, drink, and walk among the living, but you are not undead. Not a zombie, but a vampire, a creature of the night that isn’t supposed to see the light of day.

    Prologue

BUZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE RAIDERS TAKE HOME ANOTHER WIN!!!!! THIS WILL TAKE THEM TO STATE!!!!! THEY ARE UNSTOPPABLE WITH SALENA AS THEIR LEADER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone is around a tall girl with long blonde hair. They lift her onto their shoulders and carry her around like a hero. She’s wearing a red basketball uniform along with all her team mates. That put her down and she runs and jumps onto a man who looks to be her father. He doesn’t seem to care that his daughter is sweaty and stinky. He holds her tightly and spins her around. He sets her down and kisses her on the forehead and she runs off with her teammates and coaches. The father puffs out his chest with such pride for his daughter. People walk up to him and congrats on his daughters win. He thanks them all. He waits for his daughter as she is getting ready to go.

The girl is in there for a while and then the whole team comes out all dressed in jeans and their team t-shirts. She has her phone out texting away, probably her mother and loved ones. A girl next to her taps her and asks her something. Her father watches her as a question rises in his daughter’s eyes and mouths I don’t know.

She runs over to him. “Dad? Can I go out with my friends? Please, please, please?” She pouts at him and he laughs.

“Ok Lena, you can go, but be back before I leave for work you hear?” The girl, Lena, screeches and hugs her father while jumping up and down. She kisses him on the cheek and runs off to her friends who jump and scream with her.
Teenage girls. The father thinks with a sigh. He walks out to his truck and climbs in, but he doesn’t leave. He sits there thinking about his daughter. She’s a senior. She’s not a little girl anymore. She can take care of herself. Don’t worry about her. You’ve taught her well. With that he starts up his truck and pulls out of the lot and heads home.
