• Chapter 4: the beginning of a journey and a new friendship


    “Are you sure this is what you want?” Travis asked kin as they prepared to leave for master radion’s palace, “yes!” answered kin “I want revenge for what he did to my people!” Travis looked away for a moment then turned to kin, “have you any idea where your going?” he asked kin, for a while kin was silent then he turned to Travis “do you?” he asked smartly , “Nope I reckon I don’t” said Travis, “well then neither do I” said kin, just as kin finished his sentence kyo appeared holding a small knapsack “what are you two talking about?” she asked them “you wouldn’t happen to know where master radions palace is would you?” asked kin, kyo looked up at the ceiling for a moment then looked back at kin “well” she began “I heard that its in a place called the azure forest.” She said “but its a long ways away.” “Like how long?” asked kin “pretty long” answered Travis “it’s about a fourteen day journey and a lot can happen in those fourteen days too.” “I see.” Said kin a little disappointed “I was hoping it would be much shorter.” When they finished packing the essentials food, water, and what ever else they needed for the journey, they headed out for the azure forest. “Its gonna be a long walk” said kin as he and the others set off down the heavily wooded path. Some time had passed since they had left and it was beginning to get dark. “We’ll have to set up camp soon.” Said Travis “it would be much too dangerous to travel in the dark.” “Yeah your right.” Kin agreed “I can’t wait till we rest” kyo said as she shifted her knapsack to her right shoulder. As they walked a bit further in to the woods kin picked up on a rustling sound coming from a near by bush “some things watching us!” he said uneasily “who’s there!!!” called out Travis “show your self!!!” kyo ordered, just then in a burst of leaves it came jolting from the bush! “Waaahhh!!!” yelled Travis as it tackled him to the ground! “Are you afraid of me?” it asked playfully, “w-what n-no!” Travis answered quickly “you just startled me that’s all!” “Yeah right!” kin said with a laugh “you were scared and you know it!” “Was not!!!” Travis yelped, “It’s alright if you were scared.” Said kyo “everyone’s afraid of something!” “My names akako kaede!” said the bush creature holding out its hand “im a half demon!” and that she was with reddish brown hair and brown eyes and on her head where squirrel like ears and on her bottom was a matching squirrel like tail! “And so you are!” said kin “it’s nice to meet you!” “What’s your names” she asked all of them “well” kin began “im kin! This next to me is kyo! And to my right is Travis!” “It’s nice to meet all of you!” said the little half demon “so why are all of you out so late?” akako asked them, “we’re going to master radion’s palace” answered kin “to get revenge for my people! He destroyed my city and killed my family!!!” “I see” said akako “your from the fallen city of mika aren’t you kin?” she asked “yes I am” kin answered. “I would like to come with you!” akako demanded “I have some unfinished business with master radion!!” “You’re welcome to join us” the three told akako “your welcome to join us!!!”
