    Back when he was still human his family was ******** up. His father was always drunk and making threats on his mother's life until one day it was too much. His father held a gun in one hand and a bottle of brandy in the other. The trigger was pulled and it was like his life had become a horror film right then. There was his mother's blood - though it was only small droplets - spattered on his white shirt.
    The sight was horrofying to the point that the son ran as fast as he could, away from the murderer that was his father. Tears ran from the young high school junior's eyes as he ran. Where was he running to? He did not know, let alone care. All he wanted to do was escape this world that seemed to resemble hell.
    Soon he is standing on a roof. It's not particularly high but it is still a long way down. Without thinking he takes the suicidal jump to the ground. He expects his skull to crack open and spill its contents upon the pavement but for some reason it just doesn't.
    Instead there is a pitch black oblivion with an angelic figure illuminated in the darkness. Is this the afterlife? He thinks to himself.
    "You are not dead yet, but you are the brink of life and death." the angel's soft voice states.
    "Why am I here?" the boy asks, clearly frightened.
    The angle chuckles and murmurs "Why are we all here?... But I am here because I was sent to offer you The Choice of Suicide." "The Choice of Suicide?"

    "You can either choose to die the death you have choosen or you can join the Black Ravens and become a dark angel. But be warned because if you choose to be a dark angel, you will be forced to follow the leader's plans for you."
    To the boy it was hardly a choice for he did not want to go back and face the stupidity of what he had just done, of coarse he would rather become a dark angel...
    "You have made your choice and I pray that you have made the right decision..." Then the angel's voice and the angel fades away into the darkness, leaving him alone - so very alone...

    Soon after that, Mathew, the leader of the Black Ravens, appeared to the lonely child and accepted him into the clan. He was given his black wings and his assignment: to appear to those who wish to committ suicide and convince them to do so. His title: Vladik, the Suicidal Angel...
