I walked towards tall familiar building, knowing it’s the only place I can go after such a horrible dream. The stars seemed to shine for brightly that ever o this particular night, but that was a relief knowing I wouldn’t have to walk in the dark. The pine leaves rustled in the on coming gust of wind, which sounded as if they were whispering to one another. My heart let out a loud thud as a howl pierced the night time sky, but so quickly melted away in the air. I sped up my pace trying to shake the nightmare from my thoughts, so that maybe I would be less paranoid. Everything seemed to be drowned in the light from the moon over head, and gave it all the same terrifying glow.
I started up the large stone stair case, as the wind started to blow hard, and make the lock white locks of my hair fly back. I turned to see my reflection in the large glass window, only to see someone totally different. The pale colored hair, cloudy like eyes, and pale white skin didn’t seem to belong to me. The lips in the reflection curled into a hateful twisted smile, and seemed to vanish only leaving me and my own replication
looking back. I shuddered not wanting to look anymore, and hurried up the stairs, then threw the small door.
The large room was silent, and the lights that hung above where dim, which left me in the shrouds. Everything was strange in the dark, but I made my way up the steps into the hall silently. Every foot step made me regret coming back here more and more. I swallowed back the bile that churned in the back of my throat, as I began to come into a new opening. The sickly sweet smell hit me hard as I stepped threw the passage way. It looked as if a large body had been drug up the stairs, leaving a trail of blood all the way up. I shut my eyes and kept walking while the thoughts whirled around in my head. “ Another murder in the Academy of Darkened Night“, the news paper reporters would have a fit. Why did theses thoughts hurt my head so?
Ever step seemed harder, and took longer then the last. My heart thudded as the smell of blood grew stronger. Every time I had that awful dream, another person died. I tried to tell them, but they wouldn’t listen. I rubbed the tips of my fingers to the side of my head to soothe myself. This pain was getting unbearable. The only proper way to start this trilogy off, is by introducing myself. I am Samantha Blackstone. The school year only started in August, and it’s now December. Ever since the first horrible murder. I was considered freak. We’re in a academy for the magically gifted, and I’m the freak out of them all? I walked to my dorm quietly, and closed the door behind me. I ran to my bed, and threw myself into it’s cool soft mass of covers. I felt the tears stain my cheeks, and my heart begin to race. How Long Before they find the body, and report it? I asked myself. I didn’t want to open my eyes, but something moved around in the room.
