Beth put her stuff away and went downstairs pulling a note off the counter, "Sorry Bethy.....going to be gone for a few weeks....any problems go down to Jace's....his family will help^^ Love, Daddy Mickel" she read outloud then she sighed, "Well....on to their house then..." She left locking the door behind her putting the note in her pocket.
When Beth arrived Hector had already been out in the yard with four other men, apparently helping to set up a fancy marble fountain. "Alright just set the piping here and..." His nostrils flared just slightly and he turned suddenly to face Beth and wave. "Hello there Beth, whats brings you by?"
Beth waved at him and stopped in front of him bowing, "Felicity asked me to stop by...and my dad said i could come over here while he was gone.....i mean......if it's ok.....i mean.....if there are problems......" she stammered.
Hector smiled and waved her into the house, taking a quick look back at the workers. "Yes its alright. I still have some work to do out here so why don't you head on in?"
"Alright.....but I can help......" She said and before Hector could say something; Beth walked over to the foutain. She picked up the main peice of the foutain, which was very large and heavy, and put it in the middle of it, "Like this?" she asked holding it in place.
Hector tilted his head to the side a bit and smiled. "Yes that is good, just hold it there for a moment while they plaster it into place."
Beth nodded as the workers looked at each other, "Anytime guys..." she said moving it a little. The workers started to put plaster around it while she held it in place.
After the plastering was done one of the workers shoo'd Beth away so they could add the rest of the piping. Felicity walked out, smiling at Beth, and then looked into the pit with the pipes. "That looks..boring..."
Beth popped her shoulders a little, "Looks easy to me....." she sighed, "Ok....so what are we going to do Felicity?"
Felicity smiled and took Beth's hand, ushering her into the house qucickly. Two of the workers stared after her. "Ugh, I hate it when they stare..."
Beth followed her in keeping up, "Don't make fun of them......" she said quietly then she spoke up, "So....um.......what are we going to do anyways?"
Leading her past thew kitchen and up the stairs she lead her to a very solid looking oak door with a sign on it that read Jace. "I wanted to bring you up here so you could reunite with the Count up here." She giggled and opened the door, loud GODSMACK music hitting the two of them suddenly.
"O.X" Beth held her ears as she went over to where the music was pulling the radio out of the wall, "OW!!!!!" She yelled when the music was cut off, "I'm surprised you ain't deaf yet Jace!"
Jace looked up at her and smirked a bit, having quickly hidden the blood sack he had been drinking from a moment before under his pillow. "I can't help it. I Stand Alone is my favorite."
"I know that...." she sighed putting the radio back down, "That's Why you really don't need THIS!!" Beth laughed and took the CD out of it's player and ran off down the hall laughing loudly.
Felicity smirked as Beth ran past her down the hall. Jace sighed and let her make it to the stairs before he poke her sides and caught her. "Got 'cha."
"EEEEP!" Beth squeeked loudly dropping the CD, "Jace! You know I squeek like a mouse when you d-" She missed her footing and fell backwards down the stairs.
Now Jace didn't have time to think. He had bent over to grab the CD but she had fallen and he could simply reach out to grab her now. Oh ******** my life... He became a blur suddenly, and Beth was inches away from colliding with the stairs. Jace got his hands under her arms and held her up from falling.
Beth felt Jace's arms under her as she slowly opened her eyes, "O.o oh holy crap...." she let out a scared sigh, "Thank you.....but how did you get down here so fast....."
Jace blinked. She seriously didn't notice? He sighed and stood her up on the step. "Clutz..."
"Not as much as you are!" Beth growled tackling him to the ground, "Hand over the CD!"
Jace's eyes widened and he didn't have time to react, so naturally he fell when she tried.
Beth sat on him with her knees on either side of his waist holding his arms down above his head, "Now...hand over the CD or the sun glasses come off," she gave an evil smile followed by an evil laugh.
Jace forwned a bit and handed over the CD. "Not that you are quick enough to get the glasses from me, but it doens't hurt to make sure." He chuckled a bit.
She stood up holding the CD in one hand and his sunglasses in the other, "You forget..." she giggled looking over her shoulder at him, "I still have my damn good pickpocket skills."
How in the hell? Jace quickly shut his eyes and stood up, moving off to his room in a walk that was slightly too fast to be normal.
Beth put his sun glass on and looked over the top of them, "O.o wow....." she said putting the glasses ontop of her head, "That's not normal....or like him...." She shook her head rubbing her neck again then followed after him.
Followed by a door slamming, Felicity stalked down the hallway with an annoyed look on her face. She looked up at the sunglasses on Beth's head and chuckled a bit. "Oh so this is about his pride...I see."
She tried to open then door then she got down on one knee, "Ya...he's mad that's i'm still a pickpoket," she sighed pulling a bobby pin out of her pocket, "And...i don't what you would call this...theift?" She unlocked the door and opened the door standing up, "Hey Jace?! What's wrong with you? Normaly you would get me back..."
He turned his head suddenly and his eyes, his crimson red slit pupiled eyes, met hers. He had been taking a quick drink from his blood packet, his teeth exposed revealing needle-like fangs having grown in the place of his canines.
Beth's eyes widend as she dropped the glasses, cd and bobby pin, "J..j..j....jace........" she stuttered back out of the door trying to find the words but nothing came out.
Jace dropped the empty packet and continued to stare at her. Felicity came up behind Beth, equally startled but now she knew that she could take her glasses off. "Well Beth...awkward huh?" Her eyes were exactly as Jace's were, crimson and slitted.
"The....it....was....wasn't....a....dr......." Beth trailed off as she passed out on the floor at Felicity's feet.
Felicity looked down and sighed.
