• I awake on the metal surface that is the ground. A red light fills the room, a room of empty benches, and empty Cryo capsules. I am weak, but everyone always is after Cryosleep. I push myself from the ground and after a few tries i managed to stand. Standing was an unfamilliar pose for my body. I stumble over to the lockers, theres only one in use. Everyone else is dead, and they have been for ten years before i put myself in cryosleep. I pull a jumpsuit over my naked body, now that I can walk easier i edge my way to the main computer. The computer greets me, "Hello Sorian, how did you sleep?" I ignore it, it was a older version so it wont pursue the question. I take my seat at the main computer, sweat all over my body made the clothes stick to me. After i adjusted my clothing problem, i access the computer. Almost there... Almost to Earth. I am a colonist from a far away galaxy, a colony that has been destroyed, destroyed by her. Suddenly memories flood into my minds eye, as they always do after cryosleep. Her, she is the reason, the reason i have been hunting her for the past ten years, trying to keep her from earth. It is too late.

    She is a shapeshifter, a intellgence that came from V-237, the planet we colonized. She had been in some sort of hibernation, she is a beast so horrible and evil i didn't sleep for almost a year after seeing her true form. She is a destroyer of worlds a cruel weapon of mass destruction. She preys on the population of the planet she lands on and then resides on the planet in hibernation untill she is hungry again. She keeps the population from contacting each other, makes them belive it something microscopic killing them. V-237 was a wasteland when we got there, void of all life, but strangly capable of sustaining it. We sent scientist, and soilders to investigate. Im a scientist, I have been hunting her, trying to kill her. I knew earth was her next target, she likes my company. She enjoys toying with me, killing all i become close too, all of my friends. She likes me because i understand her. I have been studing her from the day she showed her face. She is a shapeshifter, she takes people from our minds and becomes them. She uses that to lure them in like a angler fish's biolumonesence light. Then of course she kills them. She prevents all from leaving the town she attacks, she keeps them from escaping. I haven't figured out how yet, but she does. She drives most people insane and against the other beings of their race. Causing them to kill each other, and then she feast on the corpses. She prefers though, to hunt them. She leaves a few alive, and they hide away in the town. Then of course, she waits for them to show and kills them one by one.

    "Computer get me earth border control." I say, and as always a second later. "Right away Doctor" Earth is getting bigger on the screen, i will have to get into earth by passage clearance from the border control, They will not just let anyone in. I pick up the radio and state my information. "This is Dr. Sorian V. Astium, On the staship Lightning asking permissin into earth." a few moments pass, and I begin to feel that I wont be allowed into earth. Then "Roger that lightning, go on in." I buckle my harness, and prepare for the entrance into the atmosphere. She had been waiting for me, She always does though. Earth hasen't hear about her, if they do it will make it easier for her to hunt. They don't need to know about her, better let them assume. They will try to kill her with weapons and atomic bombs and that will hurt earth more that it will if i just do this on my own. She will look for me, she enjoys my company, and if I have to I will inform earth about her. Although this time i know how to kill her.
