As the robust, black as night, rodents followed the figure out of the large, dull, barren of all
signs of life city a new even more sinister tune came winding back down the street. Follow
the grotesque piper we did down the long, narrow, drab streets. Slaughter did we all those
who stood in our way. Fervently did we dance to the dark yet hypnotic sounds of his long
shining flute. Anger in his eyes we saw, hatred in his features we saw, viciousness in his
demeanor, the murderous glint in his eyes as we danced past the now haunted, shabby, gaunt
palace. We sang, swore, danced and brought destruction everywhere we went. Live did we not.
For the pied piper has now his payment.
