I dare to say that I’m proud of my heritage;
of the drugs vainly stated in a vein cut
down to the most mediocre membrane.
The called-upon chemicals of my ancestors
rage through my medium, and I am like them.
Like monkeys on mescaline.
Apes on Amphetamine.
Oxy-cotton Orangutans.
Yes, my arms are as lanky as a loose laxative lashing.
All the more able to wipe my bum with tissue. Or membrane.
Or all the powder that hasn’t been snorted into a vein.
Or nose. Or maybe “insane” is the sane word here.
Why?
Because I am as vicious as I am vivacious
and are curious as I am vicarious
in the teeth.
And they have all fallen out; me being an old man
who chronically takes an un-chewable ecstasy.
