I Don't Care

• Description: I wrote this poem probably three or four years ago. It is about a girl who is starting anew and getting rid of a bad boyfriend. She realizes all the pain he's caused her and knows it is not worth it. And though he throws her all the excuses and guilt trips in the world; she stands her ground because she just doesn't care about him anymore.
  
  This has never happened to me, so I have no idea what inspired me to write this, especially when I was just about 13 or 14!

I don’t care about your heart
Because you broke mines too
I don’t care about those times
They’re over and they’re through

I don’t care if you are sorry
You’ve been that way for years
I don’t care what you’re going through
Still you bring me tears

I don’t care if it was love
It sure is over now
I don’t care about what you want
From here it’s going down

I don’t care if you said you were true
I swore I saw you cheating
I don’t care what I’m doing to you
Because my soul’s still bleeding

I don’t care how deep your wounds
See the stress you brought me
I don’t care how right you are
What I stand for is all I see

I don’t care about us starting over
I just want to leave you
I don’t care about forgiveness
I just want to start anew

I don’t care how ruthless I am
I’ve given you many tries
I don’t care how great it’ll be
I’m finished with your lies

I don’t care how convincing your pleading may get
I am going to leave these waters and sail another ship

WOW!! That was really good!! If you wrote that three or four years ago I want to hear what you write now. I also write, and I can never mak my poems this long. All I can say is WOW!!
