Your eyes are majestic
Light and playful
Yet deep and romantic
The color of a tropical ocean
Reflecting light like a smooth, clean pebble
Yet standing out like a sapphire in a sea of sandstone.
The sun dances off your shining pupils
Dark winged lashes surround the cloudy whites
Just as the silk surrounds the cool aquamarine
And as the forget-me-not sky
Traces the midnight onyx in perfect ringed circles.
Each morning they bloom once again;
A pair of rare gems
Rather than eyes.
