theres a lot of different meanings that u could use behind this song
it was originally the thought of being "trapped" by wat ive done and having all the things ive done decide who im gonna be and what ill do
and having the "darkness"(what ive done) surround me and keep closing in on me
and then the light is the hope that u can get out of being trapped by wat uve done and start over
