It feels so wrong - fate unfulfilled
The sky is dark, my heart is still
My soul is stark - fate unfulfilled
My eyes are dry, my tears are still
I can not cry - fate unfulfilled
The days are few, yet time stands still
My spirit knew - fate unfulfilled
My knees are weak, yet I stand still
The future bleak - fate unfulfilled
Does God know, is this his will?
I stand alone - fate unfulfilled
The silence screams, its voice so shrill
About broken dreams and fate unfulfilled

Thank you for your kind words. Life is tough, but you hang in there and the storm passes making the pain seem a distant memory. My daughters are now 17, 16 and 14 and look to my poetry for inspiration of their own. Fate Unfulfilled was written during a time of reflection. Life is great for me now but there were very dark days.
So, Deadlylight6 hang tight... I'm living proof that you can weather the most torrid storms!

very well done. ive been thru so much since pre school and even up til now. lots of hate, pain, near deaths caused by others...abandondment. im still holding up but just barely.

as for the poem, i will give it a good ol' 5/5 thanks for sharing and keep up the good writing

The repetitive use of Still and then broken by Will and Shrill are reverberations of the Fate that has been Unfulfilled.
