-
I remember my sister’s wedding.
There were flowers in the garden
of the most wondrous shade,
such a strange azure hue
that clouds my memories,
the slow murky fog
of that autumn afternoon
shrouding the distant horizon.
I do not remember the rain falling…
nor the sun shining…
No, it’s as if the weather was a distant tomorrow
and the story a far gone yesterday,
merely another set of drawn out hours
of days, of years, I cannot remember
truly how long I sat and watched the
blossoms bloom.
