How to Write Poetry
A poem is never finished, only abandoned.
-Paul Valery
Writing poetry is like foreign foods;
Do you dare to take the first bite?
Did I just see my dinner move?
McDonald's is 2 blocks down.
Writing poetry is like Alzheimer;
Though you think and ponder,
The missing piece seems to escape you.
Another dream deferred.
Writing poetry is like a glass mirror;
Though you cleaned it not 5 minutes ago,
It has once again become maculate.
Feed the trash monster.
Writing poetry is like getting drunk;
Everything seemed grandiose and great,
But now, it makes my head hurt and spin.
Eject the contents.
Finish poetry is like a balding, crippled cat;
A moment of loneliness and desperation--a meow for help.
Only the owner could ever bear such a grotesque thing.
You do love it, no?
I'm sure cats like crematoriums.

- Title: How to Write Poetry
- Artist: YumeriaFreak
- Description: This was inspired by my inability to write poetry when I wrote it. XD I know, rather paradoxical, but still true. Please rate and leave a comment, even if it negative. >.< Just try to keep it constructive, unless you absolutely hate it. Then, I'd say follow the axiom "Silence is golden."
