Trudging through the forest lost
The way is gone; no exits passed.
I wandered to a bridge; I crossed
With river running, rapid, fast.
The path of danger, stick and rope
Held me halfway, but wouldn't last.
Into the water drowned my hope
Til feet met rock and stone amassed.
Standing, soaking, watery hell
I was there before the falls
Rushing, crashing, river fell
Deaf to raven's warning calls.
Scrambling to the bank I heard
The cawing, felt the scratch of claw
I dove down, whilst dodging bird
Then right below my face I saw
A path! A cave where I could hide
from flying foe's unfearful rage.
Outside the raven's cousins cried
In, I realized, was a cage!
Sudden silence; sound erased.
Wearily out I peeked my head
From 'neath the covers neatly placed
To keep me warm and safe, in bed.

This is a little something I wrote up during an episode of mania. XD I hope you like it.
For some reason I feel the narrator is male, despite me being female. o-o - Date: 07/10/2009
