A guy with a large group of friends,
Was always making self amends.
He was never pleased with himself,
His emotions were put on a shelf.
To no one he would dare show,
The pain misery or the woe.
To them he was a smile,
To himself nothing so vile.
Till one day he went insane,
Took a gun and blew out his brain.
His friends knew not what to do,
From him this, was quite knew.
Blinded by what they wanted to see,
It saddens and then it worries me.
To think that they knew not of his pain,
To be alone, that drove him insane.
He’d always reassure his friends,
Every time that they hit dead ends.
He’d never show when he was down,
With a smile he hid, his frown.
He was the strongest, but the weakest,
His frail hope was the bleakest.
Now I have to ask one thing,
Are you there to ease the sting?
To you listen to others’ woes,
Do you ask? kindness shows.
