She was strong but still human
their words cracked her defenses
striking where it could hurt the most
anger, sadness
she let them both rule
hoping it would numb the pain
until one day she felt nothing
she looked into the mirror
and saw nothing
a lifeless being
a body with no direction
she could have reached out
but all she ever felt was shadows
cold, dark, elusive
she never understood how to escape
but for once she didn't care
she sank into them like it was home
letting it latch onto her pulling her away
away from everything that never mattered
but should have
she let the darkness feel her with hate
poisoning the being she used to be
the being she had wanted to be
a small part of her struggled
but the larger part welcomed it
she let herself go becoming one with it
sucked into oblivion it no longer mattered
because she no longer existed
having become no one but a shattered past
and forgotten name

- Title: Numb
- Artist: KieraTastic
- Description: I wrote this poem which I named Numb and it kinda describes what it's like to be an outcast. Although I haven't experienced this personally, I have met people who have and this poem just flowed out when I was at a low point and I don't care if anyone likes it. It means something to me and that's all that matters.
