I want you to be free,
I wanted you to be free,
But I don't want to have to watch you dance slow.
I wanted you to be free,
And then you broke free,
And now I have to watch you dance so slow.
I never should have wanted,
Never really wanted...
But why then, did I let you go?
I never should have let you go,
Because then you wouldn't have to dance so slow.
I remember the first time we met.
I thought you were just like them.
So I stayed away, pushed you away;
I was sure you were just like them.
It took me a while, but then I finally saw
That you were just as disenchanted as I was.
Something so similar about our souls...
Thought I could never break away from that feeling you brought.
But I did, and you were gone.
I slipped back into that old way of thinking
And knew that you were just like them.
That's why you dance so slow...

- Title: Morgan's Thoughts
- Artist: Kuro Neko Donno
- Description: I apologize for this being out of context. You see, most of my poems come in the form of one character lamenting or commenting on something or someone. I write stories sometimes, or bits of stories, as I have little patience and little time to really sit there and write. Anyway, this poem comes from one of those unwritten stories. Please tell me what you think of it.
