-
A solider rides into the reddening sky,
Dead enemies and comrades litter his path,
Blood. Staining the once green land.
A look of sadness and pain
passes over his face,
Many young,
Many leaving families behind.
Red smudges the horse's side.
In the distance 2 flags sway
in the wind,
As if shaking their heads in the
pointlessness of the deaths.
The solider falls limply from his horse,
Among his friends and foes he lies.
The horse trods silently
through the bodies,
Mane and body dyed red,
Towards the reddening sky.

- Title: War's aftermath
- Artist: Gray Shinigami
-
Description:
War is sad and brings death and suffering to both young and old.
I got bored during english and wrote this out of the blue. It's set in the time before guns and tanks, which I think is kinda obivious. - Date: 08/23/2009
