The patter of rain,
Covers a familiar pain,
The warmth inside,
Is what I hide,

Outside the window,
In the silver rain I go,
Nowhere dry to sit,
I'll sleep surrounded by it,

Gathering my mind,
There is no time to look behind,
Let the rain surround me,
For what seems an eternity,

A shooting star streaks the sky,
Singing a familiar lullaby,
The rain and the stars, sublimity,
I thought it was calling me,

Outside the window,
The rains come and go,
Outside the window,
I'll find what I don't know.
