Stop, just stop or at least
Slow down a little, it’s all
Going by too fast for me.
Need a chance to take it in.
So fast now, like it’s ending
Crash! Right on into the wall,
Just another old dead end.
Slowing down I still need time,
To take it all in before--
It’s gone, forever this time.
The leaves, flowers, birds singing
Peaceful breeze, and gentle rain
Washing away negative
Feelings, anxiety, gone.
Freedom never felt so good!
It’s all slowing down again.
Slow motion reaching closer;
Grasping for its hold over--
Everything speeds up again,
Jumping back into motion.
Picking up more speed as it
Shifts up into overdrive.
Running, rushing forward, fast,
Touch the shadows cast by the--
Shining, ever so brightly
The last moon of the summer.

- to be honest, i didn't catch on to the fact that it was about summer break... i thought it was super-deep, lol, but that's a good thing. You have good diction and the way you actually build up momentum in the poem is genius. Keep writing biggrin
