You can see me, but do you know me?
I put up my veil and hide my face
You fall for the act every day
Do you know what I feel?
Can you try to break through?

CHORUS:
I'm gonna live my life the way I want
So you can't hold me back
I'm not staying here, I'm not going back

This pain remains but the cause will change
No one's there to help you
You cry yourself to sleep
You pray you'll make it through

Time and time again you call out my name
Try to cause me even more pain
But you don't even see that you're doing this to me
I stay hidden behind this veil
