• The tears follow a path down my cheeks
    They fall down until they hit my heart
    They soak into my skin slowly

    Soon they reach my beating heart
    Not stopping for a break
    My heart absorbs the pain of each drop

    Soon my heart is swollen
    Filled with my every tear
    Taking in the pain like a sponge

    When I can bear no more
    When Ive taken all I can
    My heart will start to break

    Time will soon heal my heart
    My tears wont be for you
    Eventually my heart is whole

    Those memories still burn
    The pain you gave to me
    It all rests deep within my brain

    And when I start to think of them
    Unable to keep them away
    The process starts again

    Someday I will forgive you
    That someday may not be soon
    but that day will come

    I will fall on my knees and pray
    Confess my evil thoughts
    And all those sinning feelings

    I will be clean and pure
    As the day I was born
    Once again an innocent child

    Or the breaking of my heart
    I am untouchable

    That pain may wait for me
    Further down my path

    The pain you caused made me stronger
