If I were to paint your face
I wouldn't use simple black brushes.
I'd start by admiring your "ready-made" shade
and consider how faulty mine looked.
But nevermind that, my dear,
we're not here for show
or clarification of sight.
I'd take that brush in, and break it in two
and use that one tool you require.
I'd sweep your mind blank, all but the abstract
and that paper will dissolve into skin.
For if I was to paint your ready-made face?
I'd do it by using
my fingertips.
