I watch as the world around me burns
Burns
Burns
Burns
The rain on fire
Falling from the red and orange sky
With clouds the color of blood
Consuming everything in flames with it's path of destruction
Trees ablaze with fire
Turning into ash the color of snow
Grass as black as night
Flowers bursting into flames of color
The wind is blowing
Making the fire grow fiercer
As I look up into the sky
I see a swirling tornado of flames
Bursting with colors of red, orange, yellow and pink
Setting the sky on fire as well
Stepping forward on a road of dirt
I walk through the chaos
Admiring the beauty and disaster that is before my eyes
Hearing an unknown voice
It whispers softly
This is what happens when you
Set fire to the rain

- Title: Set Fire To The Rain
- Artist: Archangel of Earth
- Description: This poem was inspired by the song Set Fire To The Rain by Adele. The title of this poem I borrowed from her. Nothing else seemed to fit it other than that. Please enjoy this poem and I accept any criticism as long as you are being respectful about it.

- I love this poem, and the juxtaposition between the soft gentility of nature and the harsh burning fire works really well. Great job with your imagery. 5/5
