Once upon a time
in a far away land
lived a queen
who put matters on hand
She was white as snow
and treasured like a jewel
From the wealthiest kings
to the king of mules
She holds a crime
or so im told
that she murdered the king
and stole the gold
But poor Queen Mary
was on the rug
when the gold and jewels
were smuggled by thugs
The dungeon awaits
for her in days
"Please believe im innocent!"
on and on she prays
So she lies on her bed
guarded and sick
anxiously waiting
for November six
For the vision of the guillotine
on the stage
Was poor Queen Mary's
tragic fate
And with tears a flood
she solemnly weeps
hardly drifting
away to sleep
But the walls of the castle
cannot hide
the dark secrets that
remain inside
And at the strike of ten
when the gates are closed
the need of a meeting
arouse and arose
The duchess and duke
spoke of a plan
to rid Queen Mary
off Meridan
Asounding whispers
in the air
awoke Queen Mary
with a shivering scare
And listens she does
from the walls of her room
she learns another
of her tragic doom
The duchess and duke
knew she was clean
and the thugs were phantoms
of the theater scene
Who at the pitch black
theater back awaits
for a lady victim
they strike with a mace
And then brought somewhere
with a drag on the hair
smacked unconscious
deflowered and bare
But the phantom with the black hat
coat and a crest
had a sick obsessive
desire of her flesh
He had portraits of her
in his shabby room walls
and lusted on them
after every faint call
And so Queen Mary
startled and afraid
carefully thought
of a plan to escape
She knew the phantom
could be around
but was in no interest
for him be found
And at the strike
of eleven fifteen
when the castle was silent
and guards asleep
She slowly turned
the knob in a twist
no guard a sight
she ran a swift
With her feet bare and cold
and her eyes fearful glown
swiftly she passed
through the rooms at the hall
And no one had seen
for no one was there
except for a shadow
gliding in the air
