Such a nice feeling,
Being enveloped by the green arms of life.
I walk through an unknown world,
and ponder its mysteries.
Does the silence resemble one of a funeral,
Or is it as calm as a sleeping child?
Will the the dark forage comfort, or destroy?
Droplets of water fall from the wilting leaves
of the soon dead trees.
I walk through here,
Walking the thin line of life and death.
An escape, or a prison?
The soft ground below me is like a bed,
But could it be a grave?
I come here to release my pain,
I lay among the grass to dream,
The silence is as oppressive as a knife.
Smothering pain or ignorant bliss,
I can't tell the difference.
But it is so nice to be held by the green tendrils,
when one feels so alone.

Thank you!
I think it feels like it's soothing because the character is so calm, she's obviously dealing with internal struggles, but at that moment instead of fighting them she's just letting them go.
