What happens to your posts when you delete your old account?

I want to delete my old account to get rid of all of my old forum messages + topics in one fell swoop. smile I am wondering if they will disappear when I delete my account or if deleting it is pointless? Thanks

Account closure just means that your account is locked (banned) so that no-one can access it unless the original owner requests the account is re-opened. The account itself is not deleted and some information will be retained. Depending on the age and amount of content, it may or may not be possible to remove all of your posts and threads.

You can request account closure through the Help Centre and you'd be welcome to ask about the specifics of what would be possible to be removed on the time of filing your ticket or when you write into Live Chat. Live Chat is available Monday - Friday, 9:30am-4:30pm, Pacific Time.
