Unknown Title -
tabbyA silver creature flew right before her eyes. She gasped and ran as fast as she could after it. She pushed past what laid in front. The rushing of water was right beside her. A bad footing and into the water she goes. Her eyes roamed around in search for the silver creature. The creature flew up and she ran faster, straight into a lake. She swam up to the surface. Her heart sunk when the creature disappeared. Just then the creature flew behind her head. She turned around but still saw nothing. It was a dark autumn night and she was already cold. Being in the water did not help her at all. Quickly, she swam to the land. As she reached that land, the creature disappeared. She hugged my knees and waited a long while. Still the mysterious silver creature did not appear again. She shot up. She's been having the same dream for a month now. Tommorrow was a full moon. She sighed and went back to sleep.

tabbyDim sunlight shone through the window. She yawned and stretched. As usual she did her morning routine. She braided her silver hair. Birds began to sing lovely songs. The morning was extra cold so she tied a cloak around herself. She grabbed her bow and quiver of arrows and ran out. Soon she came to a clearing with targets attached to trees surrounding. She pulled out her bow and an arrow. She pulled back the string and let go. The arrow flew staright for the target. She had hit the center. She shot a couple more arrows and cleaned up. Her stomach growled loudly for she did not eat breakfast. A little winged fox crawled up from behind. The little critter chattered noisly trailing behind her as she walked to the lake from her dream, picking an apple on the way. The wind blew harder making ripples on the lake. Light snow began to fall. Winter she thought. Came so quickly. A minute later, she sat down and began playing "Sound of my Dreams" on the flute. The beautiful sound flowed in the wind and around the forest. Little creatures can running by the pretty sound. As she played, a tear trickled down her cheek.
tabbyMemories of her mother slowly floated into my head. She continued playing as more images floated around. More tears rolled down her cheek. She stopped playing and wiped them away. Mother have left me for a year now. And I still remember everything about her clearly. She set down her flute and hugged her knees. The flute had been from mother. She had carved it herself. She smiled a bit. There was a rustling nearby. She thought it was just another critter and ignored it. Out came a tall young man. He had broad shoulders and a bit muscular. In his hand a sword. She looked over to him and met his green eyes. What is someone doing here? The young man noticed her and started walking towards her. She blushed lightly for he was a bit handsome.
"Hello. Do you live here?" he asked.
"Y-yes. Why do you ask?" she answered.
"No specific reason. Just curious. What are you doing out here?"
"I should ask you that. I rarely ever see anyone in these woods."
He just smiled and sat down next to her. She blushed again and looked away, afraid he would see her blush.

tabbyThe young man had left and she was back in the cabin. The moon was high in the sky and she was right. It was a full moon. "I wonder if I can see the silver creature." She sighed and slowly made her way to the lake. The moonlight made a reflection against the lake waters. The was an outline of a figure sitting by the edge of the lake. If she would guess, it's the young man from earlier. She decided to go talk to him so she started over then stopped. He got up and looked around. She quickly hid behind a bush and watched him. A silver light glowed around him and it was too bright for her to see. She shut her eyes and opened them again. In the young man's spot, was the silver creature. The outline made a shape of a dragon. A majestic silver dragon. She was confused and awed by the sudden transform. She stood up and slowly walked over. The dragon turned around and saw her.
He began to flap his wings and she ran shouting,"Wait!"
She ran faster and reached him. "Are you...the one from earlier today?" she asked nervously. "And the one from my dreams?"
He didn't answer. He just looked away. At last he spoke into her mind. Yes. Would you like a ride? She hesistated for a bit. Then she nodded. He lowered for her to get on. She grabbed onto a spike and pulled herself up. My name's Alfred. You?
"Oh I'm Skulblaka. Where are we going?"
You'll see. He flapped his wings and up they went. She held on tight to his neck, afraid to fall off. She shut her eyes, not daring to look below. Alfred chuckled. Don't be afraid. Just open your eyes. I won't let you fall. Skulblaka slowly opened her eyes and looked below. She shrieked loudly to see how high they were and closed her eyes again. He laughed again. You're not going to fall. You're going to have to get used to it if you're going to be my rider.
"Your rider? I'm not being no rider!"
And why not?
"Because...because..." She didn't want to be a rider but she didn't know why. "I just don't!"
The dragon chuckled again. Then just go to sleep. We'll arrive soon. Skulblaka opened her mouth to talk, but then stopped. She was tired and just closed her eyes.

Skulblaka slowly opened her eyes. "Huh? Wha...where am I?" Everything was blurry. She rubbed her eyes and blinked a couple times. The door opened and someone walked through.
"Good morning."
"Wha...who...?"
"Don't recgonize me?" He smiled.
She looked more closely, then remembered. "Oh I remember you! Where am I?"
"My room. In Zujin."
"And where's that?"
Alfred montioned for her get up. She got up and followed him to the window. She looked outside.
"Is this..."
"A palace?"
Skulblaka nodded. He smiled. "So then your a...?"
"Prince. I'm supposed to marry some princess. I don't even know her. My parent's are al-" he got cut off by his mother who was walking in. "Darling! There you are! You need to get ready for the wedding! And who is this?"
"A friend," he replied.
"Ah. Well you can attend the wedding ceremony if you wish."
"Mom I-"
"Yes yes you need to go get ready."
"No. I want to talk to you. Privately." He pulled his mother out into the hallway. "I don't want to marry some stupid little princess. I want to marry...Skulblaka."
"Ebony is not a stupid little princess. And who is this Skulblaka?"
"The elf in my room."
"So you want to marry some elf girl then an elegant, beautiful princess? This is nonsense! You will marry Ebony and be happy!"
"No mother! I'm tired of you telling me what to do! I'm eighteen and I can do what I choose. If I don't want to marry that princess then I won't! I'll marry who I choose. And the one I choose is Skulblaka!"
Skulblaka was standing right behind the door and heard the whole arguement. He, a prince, would rather marry her, a normal little elf, then a princess. She blushed madly and smiled. Alfred opened the door and saw her standing there, blushing. He, too, blushed. Then he walked over to her and kneeled.
"Will you...marry me?"
She giggled and nodded. Alfred's mother was furious.
"No! You will marry who I choose! This elf is just a...a..." She couldn't find the right word.
"A beautiful and kind girl. What do you know about that stupid princess? Nothing! How could you want me to marry someone you don't know anything about?!"
Alfred got up and grabbed Skulblaka's hand and ran out the door. He needed to find his father, and quick. He assumed his father was in the library reading so he barged into the library. He was right. There was the king, sitting alone, reading.
"Father!" The king looked up and shushed him.
"This is a library. You can't make all this racket. And who is this lovely young elf?"
"The one that I want to marry. Mother wants me to marry some princess. She doesn't even know anything about her!"
"And where were you for the last month?" The kind took off his reading glasses.
"A forest nearby. Where I found her."
"Mm-hm. Give me five reasons why you would rather marry this elf and five reasons why you dont want to marry the princess. Then I'll concider."
"Skulblaka is beautiful, talented, intelligent, non-royal, and is like no other girl. That princess is a princess, which I dispise and that one reason is enough. Can't you see? Would you rather marry some person your mother told you to that doesn't know anything about or someone you do love and know?"
The king thought for a moment. His son did have a point. He would rather have his son marry a princess, but then he doesnt' want him to marry someone he doesn't love. The king thought long and hard, then finally made is decision.
"You may marry whoever you choose. On one condition. You have to promise me you won't regret it."
Alfred was surprised. "Yes I promise! Thank you father!"
Just then the queen came in.
"I aboslutely do not agree!"
"My queen, I have already decided."
"You said that I am the one who decides who he marries. Have you forgotten that?"
"I know, but how could you bear to see him so unhappy for the rest of his life?"
"Why?! I would never make a decision that would make him unhappy!"
"He is now."
The queen was even more furious. She stormed out the door. Alfred smiled and kissed Skulblaka on the lips. Skulblaka blushed and looked to the side. He just chuckled.

The wedding went on as planned, only with a new bride. Instead of living in the palace, they lived in the forest. They had a happy life so far. One day, when Skulblak praticing shooting, she was killed by a enemy archer. Alfred cried day and night and never smiled again.
