I have to write a summary with vivid imagery for my online English Class for the pubic to read. So gaia, here it goes ^___^
The Marvelous Land of Oz L. Frank Baum L. Frank Baum has done it again, in a sequel to the heart warming children`s classic "The Wizard of Oz". Released in 1904, (don`t let the date take away from its beauty) The Marvelous Land of Oz is epic and just as if not more amazing as its prequel. The swirling vocabulary and vivid and altogether amazing scenes L. [Lyman] Frank Baum paints are the most anyone could want out of a book.
Tip (or "Tippetarius; but no one is expected to say such a long word when 'Tip' would do just as well" wink finds himself instanly in greuling adventure and in a frantic flee from the old witchcraft-practising Mombi, who decides after being fooled by a pumpkin man Tip built with great craftmanship, must be made into a marble statue. Fleeing for his life with the magical Powder of Life he aquired secretly from Old Mombi; he find friends and comrades that will help in soon in his adventure to the Great Emerlad City. The Scarecrow being its ruler (Yes, the Scarecrow from the timeless tale of "The Wizard of Oz" wink
Now in an adventure that could cost him his life, tip must face the beautiful but mishievious General Jingur (pronounced GIN-ger) who has taken over the city of Oz; forcing the scarecrow form his throne and taking all the jewels from the treasury and streets for her and her greedy army! Not possibly knowing what to do the run from the city and seek the Tin Woodman (now Emperor of The Winkies) who may be able to help them. On their way they Discover H. M. Woggle-Bug T. E. who is Highly Magnifyed and Thoroughly Educated, but he is just another comrade in the adventure, or is he? This bug loves to make plays on words, giving him pleasure but the others grief.
