Isadora I pushed open the door to the classroom and walked in. Time to make my grand entrance to Soluna High. A grand first entrance that somehow (to my embarrassment, but not my surprise) included landing right on my face. No one noticed, so I took in my surroundings. Near the back of the class by the windows, a group of girls were flocking around a desk. Their squealing and excited chatter could've made parrots pass out. I'm a first period class with one of the popular player types. What horrid luck. A man walked in to the classroom and order seemed to fill the room. The girls all rushed to their desks, and he motioned to me. I stood, giving me a clear view of the boy. "Class, this is a new student: Isadora Zariel. Please welcome her to Soluna High." "Just call me Izzie." I smiled. The class was unresponsive. "Izzie, you can sit by Elric." He was tall with straight blond hair and bangs that fell over his eyes. He seemed to have sensed my staring and looked up. His green eyes met my dark brown ones for a brief instant, sending chills up my spine. I heard audible groans from the males in the classroom. A few girls shot me nasty glares and one discretely tried to trip me, causing me to nearly fall for a second face-plant. I let out an exasperated sigh and sat down with a light plop. If this is what I get for sitting by him, class is going to be a nightmare.
Elric "Class, this is a new student: Isadora Zariel. Please welcome her to Soluna High." The teacher called out to the unmotivated classroom. Two guys in front of me nudged each other, which caused me to look up at the new girl. "Just call me Izzie." She smiled hesitantly out to the class. She was a short brunette with long hair that shone in the sunlight flooding through the windows. She set her bag on her desk before sliding in to her seat. An audible sigh escaped her full lips. Time passed without a word. She was different, to say the least. Unlike the other girls, she didn't spend the entire class trying to get my attention. Instead, she took notes and participated. To my surprise it was driving me insane. The fact that she smelled like peaches and crème didn't help. It only raised my awareness of her presence. For the first time, I actually wanted a girl to talk to me. The bell rang and she got up. If I don't introduce myself now, I'll seem rude, won't I? "Hello, I'm Elric Ziarre." I introduced myself and extended a hand. She took one look at me and walked off. So I stepped in front of her. "Did I do something to you?" "Ya know what." She planted her hands on her hips and glared up at me. "Huh?" "I hate your type. You think every girl is gonna bow down to you, just because you've got a pretty face. Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm not that easy." The guys in class hooted with laughter. The spunky new girl just told off the "Prince" of Soluna high. None of that mattered because when our eyes met; I felt a static pass through my body. And it wasn't an unpleasant feeling. In fact, I liked it.
