I had to speed up everything, so I've oficially decided that I'm going to re-write the story once I turn in my project. I'll go in to details and everything wil take place in a few months. Oh, and Sorell WILL make an appearance back in to Emotional. Plus, I'll go in to more detail about the characters. Oh, and this is still untitled, so I need some title suggestions.
Isadora The room was lit with butterflies. Not normal butterflies though. These ones looked like large plates of flying, glittery glass. On each of their six-inch wings was an eye. The three of us stepped in to the room and the butterflies turned from clear to pink. "Sorell, what are these?" I asked. "These are Butterflies created from magic. They swarm and cut you if you trigger them. The trigger in this room is approaching the door in the far corner. I'm not sure how to deactivate the trigger, but those eyes on their wings have something to do with it." "Darkness… When the moon comes out to play is when the night conquers the day. A shadow growth will not delay and soon cover us in a mystical way." El spoke. The room's orb of light grew dark and a synthetic moon glowed in a lonely corner. The butterflies increased their glow, showing that the darkness had no effect. "The moon has gone to away today and the sun shall stay and have its way." He sighed. El held his hand over the orb of his staff. "Flute." He played a soft, soothing melody. One by one, the butterflies dropped to the floor and laid still. El kept playing until every single butterfly was asleep on the floor. "Once again, extremely clever." Sorell looked a little surprised as Elric approached the door and the butterflies only twitched. Although they shone dully, they were quickly regaining their color. "Hurry, Isadora, I need you to blind them with your sword." Sorell instructed. "Got it." I dove in to the concentration of sleeping butterflies on the floor. I started with the lightest ones, puncturing their eyes. The stabs had a double effect. It both blinded the butterflies and stopped their flying capabilities, so I slashed every butterfly on the floor. However, the butterflies that weren't stabbed properly through both their eyes recovered. Sensing a trigger, Butterflies began ripping El's skin to shreds. I screamed. "Isadora! Sing a song whose lyrics are of defenses! I'm sure that is your magic!" Sorell shouted. I opened my mouth for the vocals. "If you let me I could. I'd show you how to build your fences, set restrictions separate from the world…" At that moment, the butterflies turned dark and a shield formed around Elric. Each butterfly that dared touch the fell to the floor and shattered. When each butterfly was still, I sheathed my sword and ran to El's side. Blood flowed freely from his open wounds and his face grew pale. Sorell arrived swiftly. "A body broken, but not beyond repair. Let the healing come without exposure to air. A quickly cast spell that will assure all medical care." Sorell spoke. The cuts on El's body smoothed over and closed up and the color returned to his cheeks. "Izzie, are you ok?" He spoke softly as he stood back up. A small tear slipped off my face on to his jaw and slid down his neck. "Are you crying?" "N-no…" I hid my face as I stood to open the door.
