The world today in which we live
Is twisting, warping, changing ways
Now pain and pleasure do entwine,
With ecstacy from misery
The worth in life today it seems
Is measured by visibilty
Such as that of a man's physique,
Or of a lady's A's through D's
And love and hate do lie upon
The thinnest line of all
With every passing day it seems,
One from the other cannot be told
The world today in which we live
It is still turning day by day
As do its inhabitants,
Like leaves blowing with the wind
To reveal the other side
The one in which was never seen,
But was to come eventually.
