It's been two years since the mass murderer Light Yagami (a.k.a. "Kira" wink was brought to justice by the Special Provision for Kira (SPK for short).
Since then there were rumors of Kira's return, as many of his followers could not believe he was no longer alive. There was a time of silence once again but the peace did not last long.
Criminals began to gather the courage to run the streets freely, knowing that there was no longer a paranoia of dying by Kira's power.

It is now current day, Japan. The streets are in chaos by the crime and sins committed by society, now people who knew of the incident pray for the wrong to be eliminated; for the return of Kira.



I. Follow the rules of the Death Note: While Roleplaying, please obey all the rules of the Death Note. Any violation of the rules will result in a warning, and a second violation will result in banishment from the thread. (Your character will be killed by a spiteful Shinigami.)
II. No OOC Fights: Please listen and respect your fellow roleplayers. OOC arguments will not be acceptable, and you shall receive a warning for penalty.
III. No Gaia rule-breaking: Follow the Gaia Online TOS. There should be nothing outside the rules taking place here.
IV. Profanity is limited: Swearing is allowed, but please do not go overboard. This is a roleplay not a swearing contest.
V. Kira is NOT god: There will be no killing of any characters without consent from both players, It is the same as auto-hitting. (Knowing people's names without the shinigami eyes and/or finding out names un-realistically.) If I catch this, the one responsible will gain a penalty and possibly lose their Notebook. (If they own a Death Note).
VI. Profile destination: Please send me the profile you wish to submit via Gaia PM. Posting them in the thread is frowned upon, Please do not do it. I shall allow you to start once I accept your profile. Thank you.
VII. Above PG-13: We can all be mature here, but please, keep romance at an appropriate level. Cybering is not welcome here!
IX. Literacy is key: Speaking out of character is fine, but please use a clear indication that you're doing it. Like ((, {{, [[, or **. And please use "" for when speaking, and italics]/i] for thoughts.
X. The Spiteful Shinigami: Since there are rules set in this thread, any violators of the rules will receive a warning. I do not want to have to call upon "The Spiteful Shinigami" to come and kill your character and ban you from ever returning to this roleplay.

KIRA(S) There may only be 6 Kira Profiles. Please understand this, as there can only be up to 6 Death Notes working at once. First-come, first-serve. I have the power to relieve any players of their Death Note, if they mis-use it.

SHINIGAMI Each Death Note owner must have a Shinigami attached to them. Only 7 Shinigami are needed at a time. Therefore, Each Shinigami will be paired with the human who is granted their' Notebook. First-come, first-serve. Cannons are allowed, Like Ryuk and Rem. Any users who are playing as a "Kira" may play a Shinigami as well, if there is a shortage of Shinigami.

ORGANIZATION The Organization of Japanese Special Investigators were formed on the order of the remaining predecessor of L; Near. Although Near is no longer involved with the organization, they continue to bring ruthless criminals to justice.

CIVILIANS The humans caught in the fray of the chaos, former Kira supporters, innocent bystanders to the incident that took place 2 years ago, they are the ones who need a god the most.
