Yesterday, a boy at our school died. His name was Matt Hardway, he was about 14 years old, and in eighth grade. He was a really nice guy, I've seen him 2 or 3 times in the hall, and he was always smiling. So I don't understand why he could've died.
I asked my friends what the hell happened ( I was absent ), and they said Matt didn't think anyone cared about him and shot himself. I want to say that everyone's sad, and it's all 'cause that damn Matt couldn't think about anyone but himself. But...... since everyone thinks he shot himself, the police don't "need" to investigate this goddamned case. Everyone but me.
I don't believe he shot himself. He wasn't an emo kind of guy. He never really looked depressed until the day before he shot himself. But then he didn't look depressed. He looked...... scared. I wonder if I'm the only one who wants to find out what the heck happened. If that's the case, I will. I'll do it myself. I'll even go to his funeral if they let me. But I can't ever, ever think he shot himself. I try to convince myself, but I can't.
Also, I heard his girlfriend dumped him the day before ( why he looked depressed ), but that's not something to kill yourself over. Knowing him, he'd try to win her back. So, something else happened. Before that.
I'm gonna find out what. It won't bring Matt back, but it can help me and everyone else protect other people from the same thing.
And if he shot himself, what a jerk.
