Legends have foreseen that birth of the tailed-demons. These tailed demons had one to nine tails. Nine being the leader or the king of demons. They ruled the demon realm and had their hands on the human world too. But due to certain circumstances, the demons started to walk among the human world and destroyed the villages forcing others to step in. They captured these demons and sealed them in nine different people. However when a vessel died, the demon moved on to another vessel. Throughout time, only two known demons remained with their hosts. The one tailed raccoon and the nine tailed fox demon. The raccoon was removed from his host and trapped in the body of another. The fox remained with its' host a boy named Naruto, where they basically started to become one.
However like everything, there are those that are after these tailed demons. They want to harness their power and destroy the world or better yet control the world. First it was a group of S-class nins called the Akatsuki, they were gathering and taking the tailed demons. They were defeated and they broke apart. So the tailed demons now roamed the world and they found new vessels to become part of them. However none of the members really died, no they disbanded and ended joining this new group of dark nins. However their goals are more sinister than the Akatsuki truly was. They are dubbed the Shadow Saints and they refuse to explain what they want, Many Akatsuki members have joined up with these Saints for reasons of their own.
As for the well known, rookie nine and all those shinobi's of the different villages. Well they are only in their late teens, when this new group arose. Sasuke was brought back to the village and after doing punishment, he is now back within the ranks of Konoha Shinbois. Naurto, the carrier of the nine-tailed demon Kyuubi is seen as a sage and he's working on finally getting his hands on his dream of being hokage. Sakura, trained under Tsunade herself, is becoming a well known medic nin. These are just a few, but they have heard rumors of the new demon vessels and of this new group called the Shadow Saints. It seems that demons are not all that this group is after. So step into the world of the shinboi and see for yourself what is truly evil or good.
