Orphan Angel Without Care For Love Again
Evelyn was a young, artistic girl living with her father in a small city. She had lived here her whole life, though she had seen many places. Her father never spoke an ill word of her mysterious mother. In fact, he never spoke any word of her.
Evelyn was clever, she hid much of her intelligence. She had wondered of her mother ever since she could recall the dreams of her as a child. She had asked her father once, but he never answered her. After her father refused to acknowledge her curiosities, she cloistered herself in her room and discovered a special talent of hers that she hid from everyone.
One night, her school was hosting a small gathering. It was open for a few small families to come and eat there. Evelyn wanted to go and bring a few family members and friends, to show them her school. Or that's what she told them. She had been acting so normal since the disappearance of her "lover," and everyone assumed she was denying all of it, that she was using this as an excuse to get away from it all.
Evelyn was aware that her father must have known something, but not much. So she decided not to bother with him. She also knew that there was only one unlocked door to this school this night, but she did not tell the others that. She simply instructed them to use the main doors, while she went through the other doors that were closer to her locker, to get a book she forgot she needed.
Evelyn, as clever as she may be, made a small mistake. Her friend's younger brother, Markus, had followed her. He was 13, and he had a crush on Evelyn. He watched in amazement as holes opened in the glass doors before her, and he quickly followed her as she went in. Evelyn disappeared in the corridors of the school, leaving Markus lost and alone. He wandered around the campus until stumbing upon an interesting door, that seemed to lead to nothing. The door was unlocked when he pushed it open, and he left it propped open in case it should lock behind him. He looked around this room in awe, it was very large on the inside. But as he gawked, someone knocked him forcefully to the ground, demanding who he was and what he was doing there.
Meanwhile, Evelyn had made it to the most hidden area in the school. One the faculty and students knew nothing about. A place only her mother would know about. She peered around a corner in this large, secret place, eying her mother in a wheelchair. She looked incredibly young, but it was apparent that she was old and feeble. She wore a small crystal circlet that glowed like the colors of the rainbow and she held a staff with a glowing crystal on the end. Before her lay a replica of what appeared to be a large amount of open land. There were tiny little grid lines covering the entire model, and little platforms that criss-crossed it upwards, forming a double helix. On these little platforms were tiny stones. Evelyn knew how delicate this project was.
Evelyn revealed herself, stepping out on the other side of the model. She grinned darkly at her mother's surprise, stepping across the model.
"What do you think you're doing!?" her mother exclaimed.
"Don't worry, I know how this works. I know where to step," she cooed as she crossed it, now standing before her mother. "I can't believe you would be the one, mother. Or should I say, Lady Iris?" Her mother spoke not a word. "Well, your reign is over now. Since you have decided to leave my life a mess and manipulate my father, I'm going to take everything from you. Did you know, about my power?" she cooed. "I can control matter. Isn't that neat?"
Her mother was as pale as a ghost, she tried to speak but not one word was sounded. She was trembling like mad.
"Well, your time has come. It's over, mother."
Back in the commons of the school, her family and friends were wondering where Evelyn had gone off to, and where on earth could Markus have gone? But of course, there was another family there set to distract them...
"By the way, mother...I know you took him. I know what you've done with Alister. You're going to free him, and even if you don't, I will kill you anyways. Tell me where he is now, and I may grant you a few extra moments to breathe." She paused, awating an answer. "No? Well, I'll find him myself!" she spat, snatching the circlet and the staff. "You can suffer, on your own!" she cried. "Just like I did!"
The wheelchair began to fall apart beneath her mother, leaving her on the floor in a pile of rubble. As Evelyn turned to leave, placing the circlet on her head, she saw a girl dragging a young boy towards them.
"Markus!" she hissed. "Let him go," she commanded.
"L-Lady Iris!" the girl cried. "I don't believe it!"
"No. It's Lady Venus. Unhand him. He was looking for me. Call off your guards and let no one inside this place. The Aeterium project is mine. Mother is dead, and now you answer to me. Get out of my sight."
The girl scurried off and Markus crawled over to Evelyn. He looked up at her with pleading, nervous eyes. She shot him a glare.
"Leave, Markus. If you speak of this, you will suffer a penalty more terrible than death."
~~~~~~~~~~~
This is my dream. It's very sketchy a story, but I wanted to write it. The "Aeterium Project" is an underground project dealing with creating new elements, setting them up in such a way that under proper conditions they will react in a type of harmony, for unknown but desired results.......................I have weird dreams.
