Children......children.....the very souls of the pure ones. Mere children, that hold so many dark secrets, yet, they are never aware of it themselves. As the world changes, and evolves; it was soon learned that humans were quickly evolving. Their DNA was starting to evolve and mutate. However these mutations were hidden within human DNA, that many couldn't detect with their limited resources at the time. These special genes could change and alter the world. The secrets they held within, were even greater then anyone could even begin to imagine. However locked deeply in their encoded gene, was things that people could ever dream of learning and witnessing. Secrets to the greatest mysteries in life.
It only became clear when a child hit five, was when the mutations came to light. They seemed to be of some unknown and supernatural origin. These included powerful abilities, that the child couldn't control and many people died in the wake of their supernatural abilities. However the supernatural abilities were only a scratch on surface. One key point, that will allow humankind to endure the greatest of enemies and survive, the next course of life. Soon word got out about these supernatural abilities and an organization rose in the wake of fear, gathering these children to save the population.They had their own reasons, like making them into weapons for their own personal gain and to control the world with fear and power. They also wanted to know the secrets these children held. So those that were of no use to them, were used and experimented on. They became experiments and once their use was up, they were properly disposed of. Some say, they were sacrificed to a greater entity that could change the entire world. One that could annihilate mankind or use these powers to regain power, before making its move. Sadly no one was sure.
To ensure that the useful children remained under their control, they wiped their memories and replaced them for their own agenda, making them weapons they could use as they see fit. However a few in the organization disapproved of their leaders' tactics, so they decided to betray the organization. They defected and took more then half the of the children with them to ensure they would survive. They disappeared without a trace. This forced the organization to reevaluate their tactics, as half of their best warriors were gone and the rest were useless. When they couldn't come up with a plan, they were forced to retreat and they disappeared. Nobody heard a word from them again. The world continued grow and evolve, as life continued on. Unaware that centuries later, something darker would come to light. Something that could change the world or destroy it.
