My life is hectic
Living is hard but I respect it
Watch the T.V., most are lies
Someone gets murdered and their family cries
But you don't hear about that on channel nine
Care more about the Stars then the hideous crimes
People get killed, molested and raped
Cause they just stand there waiting for a man in a cape
I'd call you brave to walk the streets alone
Knowing, at any moment, you might be gone
Leaving my house, I still stand wary
Holding more regrets than anyone should carry.
I know people die, they're hungry and sick
I would make it me, if I could pick
If I could choose, we would be ahead
Find a cure for cancer so none would be dead
Look down on people with power
Show em' those poor people who cower
Give em' a flower.
Not much, yet gives hope
Pulls people up when they're at the end of their rope
My life is hectic
Living is hard but I respect it
I'm just one more person, a helping hand
I give some person money, though my life ain't grand.
Why do the rich get more, the poor get less
I gave a woman my seat, she said God Bless
I wanted to ask her what?
Peace has turned its back, trust closed the door shut.
Whats there to bless?
A little bird dies in its mother's nest
A family died in each others arms
Trying to protect each other from harm
They shouldn't have died, they should still breathe
That little child should once again see
She could have known, as that child fell to the tiles
She must have known, for she died with a smile.
She must have thought 'My life is hectic
Living is hard but I respect it'
That little girl, shouldn't have known that
If I could, I'd bring them back but I can't
I can't heal with these fingers of mine
I need more hearts with love so fine
I can't heal the world with these fingers of mine.
But that doesn't mean I don't try
