~Episode 2- Journey to Sandgem Town: Catch Riolu!~
"Cool, isn't my Piplup cool?" Rakem thought as he held Piplup in his arms.
"Yea, sure." Devan smiled, "Anyway, where are we heading?"
"Oh," Rakem said and returned Piplup into the poke'ball. He then took out the map, "We're going to Sandgem Town, right now we're on Route 201."
"Hey, whats that?" Devan asked seeing a red and blue Pokemon.
"Thats a Riolu." Rakem told Devan with a smile. "They are rare and not too many trainer's have them. Probrably none these days. Anyway, I bet you want to catch it, eh?"
"Of course!" Devan exclaimed and both Charmander and Pikachu jumped up in excitement.
"Riolu?" Rilou asked itself looking at Charmander and Pikachu. Riolu then used "Force Palm" on Charmander, however Charmander dodged the attack.
"If its a battle you want, its a battle you'll get! Right Charmander?" Devan told Riolu and Riolu hit Charmander with a combination of "Quick Attack" and "Force Palm".
"Err... Charmander use "Flame Wheel"!" Devan commanded.
"You got it!" Rakem exclaimed. Just then, Riolu used "Counter" and Charmander hit the ground hard.
"Great!" Devan yelled in excitement.
"Great?" Rakem asked confused. "I hpe you noticed that Charmander is getting it's lizard tail kicked!"
"Actually, me and Charmander have been fooling around to see how touch it is, but now..." Devan explained until...
"It's gone." Rakem said.
"Where could it have gone?" Devan asked looking in bushes and everywhere for it.
"Forget it, maybe they aren't met for you to catch." Rakem told Devan and they continued walking. On the tallest tree on Route 201, Riolu watched how much Charmander and Pikachu seemed to like Devan.
"Ri. Ri, Ri, lu, Olu, Riolu..." In translation Riolu said, ~He's nothing like my father told me trainers were like. Mean, and dangerous. This one seems so, "peaceful" and "gentle" with his Pokemon. Could this be the big break Mom told me about?"
"Hey!" Yelled a man in black and silver clothing. "A Riolu? Go and catch Riolu, Honchkrow!" The trainer's Honchkrow pecked at Riolu until Riolu ran away from it, soon getting in the path of Devan and Rakem.
"Hey, there it is Devan!" Rakem smiled.
"Why is a Hunchkrow chasing it?" Devan thought until the trainer threw a poke'ball but missed Riolu.
"Hey, don't mess with Riolu!" Devan shouted at the man.
"What are you going to do about it, twerp?" The man shouted back.
"How about this man. If I win a double battle against you, you leave here and continue your journey without Riolu. However, if you win, then you can continue chasing after it." Devan suggested.
"Since I know you're weak considering you only have a Charmander and Pikachu... I accept!" The man agreed and releashed a Crobat.
"Charmander and Pikachu, since he insulted you two, Charizard will sit this one out, alright? Teamwork is the key and Riolu is at risk." Devan explained to his two best pals.
"Crobat use "Poison Fang" on Charmander and Honchkrow use "Wing Attack" on Pikachu!" The Man Ordered his Pokemon with a totally disrespectful tone in his voice.
"Charmander, Pikachu!" Devan yelled with concern in his voice. "How could you talk to your Pokemon like that?" Devan asked.
"Like this, you losers better keep attacking, use the same attacks!" The Man ordered.
"Pikachu, now! Use "Thunder" on Honchkrow and Charmander use "Blastburn" on Crobat!" Devan shouted with a very respectful tone.
"You idiots!" The man yelled and returned Crobat and Honchkrow. The man threw an ultraball at Riolu.
"I choose you, Charizard!" Devan yelled and a Charizard was released from the poke'ball. "Use "Dragonbreath" on that ball! Now, use "Dragonrage" to send that man flying!" Devan shouted.
"Agh!" The man shouted in pain as he was sent soaring through the air.
"Well, we did it. Return, Charizard," Devan said smiling and walked over towards Riolu, "It's alright now, right?" Devan contined walking and dropped his quickball out of his backpack.
"Riolu!" Riolu exclaimed and jumped inside the ball.
"Looks, like you've earned yourself a new Pokemon Devan." Rakem smiled.
"Sure does..." Devan replied and they continued their journey to Sandgem Town.
