History:
Childhood: Yachiru didn't have a name, or a chance at life really. She was just a baby lost in a world of blood, and soon she would die too. At least, that was what should have happened, untill Kenpachi Zaraki-- then unnamed-- came along. She giggled and touched his bloody sword, unafraid of it, a tool for killing people. No one knew why he took her, but he did, saving her from the bloody world and giving her a name. She can still remember that day, even the number of clouds in the sky. Kenpachi raised her from that day on, even giving her a name, and everything she knows was taught to her by him.
Winter War: Yachiru's arival to the Winter War was later than Ichigo's, but earlier than most of the other Shinigami's. As soon as Kenpachi could get to Hueco Mundo, he was there, and Yachiru was there with him, on his back. She didn't manage to get much fighting in herself, just taking down a few low-level arrancars before Kenpachi got hurt (Barely, but enough to set Yachiru off) at which her spiritual energy downright exploded, and she fought at Kenpachi's side for the rest of the battle, and even after that battle, she fought with him the entire war, being stubborn and refusing to leave his side even if it was slightly more dangerous. Near the end of the war she took a blow for Kenpachi, and ended up being healed by fourth division for the rest of the war-- much to her own disappointment. After all, she had been having 'fun'!
Now: After finishing healing, Yachiru had kindof moped around for a while, and she kept on vanishing from the Seireitei for long amounts of time. This had been quickly put to a stop, with the chaos the Soul Society was going through, last thing they needed was one of their Vice Captians off moping in one of the not-so-great parts of the Soul Society. Yachiru's currently a little confused about the world around her, as she tries to uphold the reputation of the Shinigami, rebuilding the Soul Society. She's also pouty because it's been all-work-and-no-play lately, and she's had no time to spend with Ken-chan.
