"I don't want you to be alone, down there..."
I just feel like writing one, so bear/bare [?] with me.
Kay? Kay!
She was so used to hearing her voice, that she didn't always respond until she was sure that she was being called. She watched as the blacktop, the buildings, and the river flowed past her, but she had no cares for the human world she lived in. She hadn't since she found flight, an escape that no books, no television, and no one could find for her. Kay ignored the calls she could hear all around her, bird calls, cat calls, and others of that sort but she didn't care. She was so lost in the sky that she cared little even about the sweet smells that reached to her on thin, brittle arms of smoke.
The sun smiled down at her, while the city smiled up. Kay was surrounded by a gladness that no other could find, and she made little twirls in the sky, unafraid of letting anyone see that she had found a way to lose herself in her soul's music.
"Kay? Kay!" Little Annabelle couldn't live without her best friend, Kay. Though her mother told her that she could always make new friends, Annabelle refused to listen. She leaned out of the window, waiting for the beautiful white wings that she was so accustomed to seeing.
