The Okami Lords' job was to keep peace between the three continents.
But one day the Sun and the moon lost contact with each other and they tore apart. The next time they came in contact, they had started a fight, which turned into a war. The Wind tried to stop it, but that only made matters worse.
The three Lords decided to sacrifice their souls to a child, who became Princess Okami and when she grew older she was able to stop the war and restore the three continents.
