I was sitting at my desk, trying to keep my eyes opened and desperately searching for the answer to (6x - 4y + 2x2) / (2x + 1), when I suddenly realised that I was really bad with mathematics…
The only answer I came up with was « Heck, I dunno! », and yet, the teacher couldn’t object, since it was absolutely right. The only problem is that this answer is not valuable in a mathematic exam, and the mathematic exam is next week. The most frustrating part is that, no matter how hard I try to understand algebra, it just doesn't seem to be understandable! Dammit… it looked like I’d pass the rest of my life in this math class...(Well until the bell rang at least. The I'd be SAVED!)…
So when the bell did ring, I picked up my books and rushed out of this hell. On my way back home, I prefered not to think about anything. Thinking is too confusing some times…
Back at home, I asked Kitty, my homemade Zonster (What?! You do not know what a Zonster is? I definately need to post you Kitty’s pic some day! Remind me to do it, k?)… so I asked Kitty if he could find a solution to all these tiny « x’s » additions and multiplications. Of course, he didn’t answer, since cats can’t talk (Especially when they are red and black… and not biologically alive). So I sat beside him on my bed and opened my book. Not the math book, the little black book. I took a pen and decided to draw my feelings down.
Two minutes later : a sheet of white paper with a tiny black « x » in the middle.
So I stared at my masterpiece for a while, all puzzeled. This damn « x » letter was actually ruining my day, my week and even the whole scholar year! I mean… who ever spends time adding tiny little « x’s » together? And then, who looses his time to divide them by a « y »? The person who invented algebra must and will suffer for this, or my last name isn’t "the Strange"!!!
Tired and fed up with maths, I closed my eyes, just for a few seconds of course… and I saw them… little « x’s » dancing all around me…
I woke up an hour and a half later, which means only a few minutes ago. I’m hungry right now, and so is Kitty, judging from the expression in his eye (eye with no « s », cuz Kitty has just one eye of course…). The normal thing to do in this case is to eat something, so of course, I will not eat anything. Not now at least...
Anyways, just another strange day to write about in the little black book of Strange. And all this because of these damn « x’s »… Mathematics are not that bad after all!
Oh well, till the next Strange day…
See you somewhere!
